For over fifteen years, we have been the quiet force behind some of Uganda's most effective leaders, teams, and organisations.
North Willow Gate Consulting Ltd. was founded in 2011 by Dr. Margaret Asiimwe and Samuel Byaruhanga, two seasoned professionals who had spent a combined 35 years in executive leadership, organisational psychology, and management consulting across Uganda, Kenya, and the United Kingdom.
They shared a conviction: that Uganda's organisations were being held back not by lack of talent, but by a lack of structured support for developing that talent. Leadership development, communication skills, and team effectiveness were largely treated as afterthoughts — luxuries for multinationals, not investments for local institutions.
Starting from a modest office on Acacia Avenue in Kololo, they began with three clients: a financial institution, a government ministry, and a mid-sized construction company. Within two years, demand had grown through word of mouth alone, and the firm expanded its team and scope of services.
By 2018, North Willow Gate had become the go-to consultancy for leadership development in Uganda's public and private sectors, and had begun extending its reach into Rwanda, Tanzania, and Kenya.
Today, we are a team of 22 practitioners — coaches, facilitators, organisational development specialists, and psychologists — united by a single mission: to build the leaders East Africa needs for the decades ahead.

To empower Uganda's professionals, teams, and organisations to lead with clarity, communicate with impact, and collaborate with purpose — creating measurable, lasting change at every level.
A Uganda — and an East Africa — where every professional has access to the coaching and development they need to realise their full potential and contribute to a thriving society.
We believe every individual has untapped potential. Our work begins by honouring that belief in every interaction.
We apply methods grounded in the latest organisational psychology, leadership research, and coaching science.
Our programmes are never copy-pasted from elsewhere. They are built for Uganda, in Uganda, by Ugandans who understand the context.
We measure success not by the number of workshops delivered, but by the sustained behavioural change we observe months and years later.
